We pride ourselves on offering the most comprehensive, integrative, and modernized care available, thanks to Dr. Delgado’s unique, individualized approach to addressing complex pelvic pain.
An experienced, board-certified OB/GYN, Melissa A. Delgado, MD, FACOG, knows that pelvic pain is rarely caused by just one factor. For this reason, she believes in treating the entire person. She listens to her patients to help them make the best decisions for their health and achieve physical, emotional, and spiritual wellness.
Dr. Delgado has spent the past 10 years dedicating her time to understanding complex and persistent pelvic pain. She specializes in treating endometriosis, interstitial cystitis, and their co-occurring chronic conditions. She is an expert in minimally invasive, excisional robot-assisted surgery. After seeing the benefits of integrative medicine, Dr. Delgado also became certified to practice acupuncture in 2007.
Dr. Delgado earned her medical degree from the Universidad Autónoma de Guadalajara and New York Medical College before completing her OB/GYN residency at Riverside Regional Medical Center in Virginia, where she served as Chief Resident. She is also a fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists.
The path to healing is not always a straightforward one.
In fact, our typical patients have been to an average of 4 physicians and have spent anywhere from 6 to 10 years before meeting with a pelvic pain specialist.
We can help you get your quality of life back by finding answers to your pain. We listen closely, work with you to treat your symptoms, and—most importantly—help you get to the root cause of your pain.
Our goals? To give you the answers you’ve sought, the relief you need, and the healing you deserve.
We understand your frustration—many of our patients have dealt with multiple physicians over many years before coming to us. But we won’t take any shortcuts in forging your path to the proper treatment. More importantly, we know that you deserve the answers you’ve been looking for.
As an incoming patient, plan to spend about 60 minutes with one of our medical professionals. This gives us the time we need to get a holistic perspective on your symptoms and create comprehensive treatment goals. We’ll make sure you feel comfortable and safe every step of the way.
This is your destination for comprehensive women’s healthcare—a space for transformation, for growth, and for healing.
